It absorbs water while leaving hair damp. I use the dryer less time afterward, 2 to 3 minutes and it's dry. Normally, it always took me a good 12 minutes to dry my hair. I really should have bought one before! This is the essential item that we all need to have at home. I have two and I'm thinking of buying other colors.
